IFC’s Treasury Client Solutions Department is a client-facing transaction-structuring and execution team that provides IFC’s clients with innovative fixed-income solutions. The group has global responsibility for derivative transactions, structured finance products, local currency solutions, and debt capital markets solutions.
The department is looking to appoint a skilled and well-versed finance professional with experience in structured credit to join the LAC team, covering markets in Latin America and the Caribbean. The individual would focus on structuring and risk assessment for IFC’s structured finance investments (including true sale and synthetic securitizations, ABS, CLOs, covered bonds, portfolio guarantees, structured debt funds etc.) and contribute to further enhancing the department’s analytical approach for these products. The individual would also contribute to IFC’s debt capital markets and local currency financing transactions and assume shared responsibility for building business growth in the LAC region.

Duties And Accountabilities
- Lead structuring, pricing and execution of fixed income transactions for IFC’s clients primarily involving structured finance products (including cash and synthetic securitization/significant risk transfer transactions), future flow securitizations, covered bonds, and portfolio guarantees) and capital markets instruments with potential additional focus on local currency financing and fixed-income derivatives;
- Contribute to expanding IFC’s range of suitable solutions, including innovative structured finance products and capital market products, in frontier markets.
- Identify business opportunities and contribute to business development and innovation together with relevant teams (including investment departments, credit, legal, blended finance, upstream, and other relevant functions);
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including regulators, government entities, investors, global and regional bank counterparts, and capital market firms;
- Provide product expertise, advice and training, and help others learn and deliver;
- Co-lead work and initiatives on relevant policies, frameworks, processes and methodologies, and inform corporate decision-making within areas of responsibility;
- Take full accountability for business delivery, managing risks, and ensuring that outcomes are aligned with IFC‘s strategy; and
Selection Criteria
- MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Financial Mathematics, Statistics or related area;
- At least 8 to 12 years of relevant work experience in fixed income with a focus on analyzing, structuring and executing structured finance (e.g. cash and synthetic Securitizations, significant risk transfer transactions, future flow transactions, risk sharing facilities, guarantee transactions and debt capital markets transaction execution), ideally including exposure to emerging markets.
- Deep theoretical and practical understanding of quantitative and analytical methodologies (including rating agency approaches) to analyze and price the above structured finance products.
- Well-rounded business judgment, strong negotiation, structuring, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong track record in closing structured finance as well as fixed income transactions in emerging markets preferred
- Demonstrated well-rounded business judgment, strong negotiation, structuring, and problem-solving skills, and solid track record in transaction execution;
- Proven ability to co-lead cross-functional technical teams;

- Flexibility and willingness to work in different time zones as required in a global team.
