The General Manager is responsible for managing the daily & ongoing operation of the Service Center, this position is tasked with ensuring operational excellence of all wash facility processes, maximizing efficiency, leading continuous improvement, and utilizing capacity and cost planning methods to ensure key metrics (KPI’s) are achieved for zero harm/OSHA, through put, cost, quality, service and regulatory State/Federal/IFCO Labor Guidelines, while meeting the necessary food safety standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the safe working environment of the plants while complying with corporate Zero Harm policies and initiatives and ensure the plants achieve all associated OSHA requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to ensure production targets are achieved; responsible for daily productivity analysis.
- Responsible for managing the complete P&L of the service center and or assigned /DC operation. Regular and detailed analysis of plant cost performance versus budget and identifying and driving continuous improvement projects
- Support the Director of Operations to develop plant budgets/forecasts when required.
- Develop and execute CAPEX projects and initiatives to approved budgets and timelines.
- Ensure service center compliance for the following: internal and external worker safety regulations, employee engagement, food safety regulations, local and federal HR policies, and corporate policies.
- Day-to-day management of all functions performed within the facility, including Safety, HR/Payroll, Quality/AIB processes, Production, Financial/Costs, and other Facility functions as required
- Manage the daily shipping, receiving, and all data entries performed in association with these functions.
- Responsible for product quality and achieving all food safety-related policies set forth by IFCO corporate.
- Bachelor’s degree in management
- 6 years in a leadership position in a production facility
- Process development experience and proven record in operational success in balancing cost, quality, and performance
- Background in Lean or 6 Sigma skills preferred
- Documented OSHA safe Minimum of 5 years of previous management experience in a high-volume production, agricultural production, or distribution facility required
- Experience managing 100 personnel in a high-volume 24-hour production/warehouse environment required
- Safety program management experience required ty training and/or accreditation strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proven planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle high-volume operational requirements
- Knowledge of P&L and budget process preferred
- Familiar with applicable federal and state laws about wage and hour, employee relations, and safety
- Computer literacy is required, including proficiency in standard business applications included in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven Ability to work/develop an effective team within a high-volume 24-hour production/warehouse environment
- Excellent on-time decision-making skills.
