Since 1987, IFES has worked in over 145 countries – from developing to mature democracies. POSITION SCOPE IFES is looking for a Senior Conflict & Displacement Officer. The ideal candidate will have experience with conflict resolution and/or work with internally displaced persons or refugees and excellent program management skills. The Senior Conflict & Displacement Officer will report to the Senior Global Advisor for Conflict, Displacement & Minority Rights (Senior Advisor) and will be responsible for providing operational and technical support to the portfolios of: • Election security & conflict resolution • Impact of climate change on elections and displacement The Senior Conflict & Displacement Officer will support the Senior Advisor in developing IFES’ thought leadership; developing new programmatic responses; building partnerships with mission-aligned institutions and individuals; and facilitating internal, cross-divisional communication on this agenda. |
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree in a related field preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluency in English is required. French, Spanish, or other regional language skills a plus. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 4-6 years of experience in related field required. RELATED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
