Job Summary
The Blending Operator is accountable for compounding and packaging blends of natural chemicals to generate finished products. The operator is expected to accurately and consistently operate all equipment and/or machinery according to training and SOP protocols. This includes but is not limited to transfer pumps, filtration equipment, blend tanks, documentation and labeling of materials. All employees are expected to maintain a safe and sanitary work area by ensuring the department and all equipment are cleaned and in good working order.

Summary
- Maintain a safe working environment using appropriate safety equipment to proactively improve the safety culture of the department.
- Maintain blending area / equipment in a clean, sanitary and presentable condition.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and exemplary housekeeping standards.
- Provide additional support and duties as assigned
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Basic math skills are essential in the function of this position.
- Individual must have an aptitude for mechanical operations.
- Computer knowledge and basic use of Microsoft Office software.
- Proven ability to multi-task, good communication and teamwork skills with peers and supervisors.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced team environment to help promote a culture of continuous improvement
- Physical Demands: The position requires that employees must be able to lift, carry, pull and push equipment, materials and other required items up to 50 pounds. Predominantly the position requires standing / walking for up to 9 hours per shift. Position requires the ability to climb multiple types of ladders including pole ladders and step ladders/stairs. Climbing heights up to 30 feet is required. In addition, vision (including color vision), hearing and smelling are essential functions of the position.
- 2-3 years' experience in a manufacturing or chemical plant preferred
- 1-2 years' experience in the operation of moving equipment such as forklifts, tote and tank wagons, etc.
