What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Services Manager position at IFF?
It's an exciting time to join the Animal Nutrition team at IFF as a Technical Services Manager! This is a remote role supporting customers from a technical standpoint, being a feed mill specialist to support product portfolio application at feed mills and support customers.
You will spend your time:
- Customer facing, technical resource that is responsible for the technical success of IFF animal nutrition enzymes, DFMs and betaine with customers.
- In field application of products going into feed mills, which include mill audits and equipment evaluation.
- Being a key part of product-related equipment design and installation oversight into feedmills
- Utilizing technology and troubleshooting skills to identify and propose improvements to help improve and optimize customer application of DuPont products.
- Being a technical point of contact to feed milling and related areas for nutritionists and live production.
- Successful communication of key product concepts with customer staff (from nutrition, purchasing, live production, veterinary, etc).
- Assisting customers in product use and application by providing technical support including in-feed activity reporting
- Providing on-going product application support, technical service and feed analytics to customer accounts and sales staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science with 5 years experience in integration feed production, feed compounding or
- equipment technical service/support or alternatively or Masters of Sciences with at least two years of industry experience
- Must be knowledgeable in the area of US poultry and/or swine industry production practices.
- Candidate would be knowledgeable in the feed mill function and application of in-feed products like enzymes, direct fed microbials or betaine.
- Must be capable of management and oversight of equipment design and installation.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interpret, communicate and present technical data
- Self starter able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Customer interfacing experience is a plus as is working within a sales team environment to meet the needs of the customer.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office suite as well as software associated with feed
- milling or equipment design/installation
