Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Optometric Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist optometrists in providing comprehensive eye care by performing various clinical and administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Prepare patients for eye examinations by gathering medical history, performing preliminary tests, and taking ocular measurements.
  • Testing: Administer diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, color vision, and tonometry, visual field, OCT and record results accurately.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain optometric equipment, ensuring everything is clean and in working order.
  • Administrative Duties: Schedule patient appointments, handle insurance verification, and manage patient records.
  • Patient Education: Provide patients with information about procedures, eyewear options, and eye health maintenance.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with optometrists and other team members to ensure seamless patient care and office operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in optometry technology preferred.
  • Previous experience as an optometric technician or in a similar healthcare role is a plus.
  • Proficiency with optometric equipment and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
