Job Description
In your role as an Accountant on the Business Processing Outsourcing team, your primary duties will entail being responsible for multiple clients, reconciling GL accounts, processing month end Journal Entries, and compiling monthly financial packages. You will assist clients with creation of new reports including but not limited to ADHOCs, financial statements, and lease operating statements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process monthly JEs on behalf of client
- Prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Prepare Monthly GL Reconciliations
- General Ledger Research
- Prepare monthly financial package
- Meet client deadlines and prepare/maintain monthly calendar
- Create and analyze for accuracy ADHOCs, financial statements, and lease operating statements
Technical Ability:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Math
- Must have the proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be detailed oriented and organized
- Typing and data entry; 10-key calculator
- Must be willing to learn and be a self-starter
- Solid technical, analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work within a team
- Ability to learn and work with multiple software applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent relevant work experience is required
- 2-5 years of experience in Accounting
- Oil and Gas accounting experience a plus
- DocVue or similar document management software experience is a plus
