What Will I Do In This Role?
SHIFT HOURS: 11pm-7am | Sunday - Thursday (Overtime and Weekends as needed)
- Follow established safe work practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate roll-up machine as required in a safe productive manner
- Operate sewing machine as needed to join ends
- Cut out defects in ribbon and re thread take-up machine properly
- Use sewing machine on pushcart to cut defects or sew together start-ups as necessary
- Push full pin truck to take-up machine designated area, return with empty pin truck
- Maintain good housekeeping
- Cycle doff to ensure minimum downtime
- Push pin truck to take-up machine, doff full rolls and replace with empty containers
- Adjust rolls as necessary to insure proper rolls are being achieved
- Repair machines with problems such as a hang up from magnets and etc.
- Direct attention to guider, yardage clock and proper threading of ribbon on machine at each doff, corrections are to be made as called for
- Quality conscience at all times and alert supervision when defects are noticed
- Set up machines for proper take-up after start-up or pattern change
- Cross trained in reroll, cut & sew, and packing
- All other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and write, possess basic math skills and good communication skills
- Must be very efficient and have knowledge of machinery
- Must be able to prioritize and address ribbon quality
- Must be able to lift as much as 35 lbs. above 5 ft. Must be able to stand majority of the shift and push pin truck with as much as 100lbs
- Have manual dexterity
- Climate controlled area
- Hours can vary as needed to ensure the success in fulfilling our customers’ needs.
