We are seeking a skilled butcher and meat sales professional to join our team at IGA Southeast. As a key member of our meat department, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and contributing to the growth and success of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver exceptional customer service by being approachable, helpful, and knowledgeable about our products and services.
2. Prepare products for sale by cutting, weighing, trimming, and pricing according to established standards and procedures.
3. Maintain accurate inventory levels, rotate stock, and ensure that all products are properly dated and stored in a clean and safe environment.
4. Develop and implement effective merchandising and promotional strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
5. Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives, and perform tasks such as receiving and storing products, communicating temperature failures to supervisors, and maintaining high standards of sanitation and hygiene.
Required Qualifications:
• Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs constantly, stand for extended periods, and bend, kneel, and move around comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in meat cutting and sales is an asset, but not required. We offer on-the-job training to help you develop your skills and reach your full potential.
• Ability to work in a cold environment and adhere to strict safety protocols.
