Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter PT to join our team at IGA Southeast.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales and Productivity: To actively support the profitable operations of the meat department through sales maximization, production standards, and delivering yield standards from primals. The ideal candidate must be able to fully cut product from primals, work pre-packed product, and manage inventory levels relative to financial expectation.
- Customer Service: Provides polite, friendly service to all customers, prepares product for sale according to Floco Foods standards, prices, stocks, and rotates frozen and prepared meats and fresh meat case.
- Sanitation and Quality Control: Maintains high-quality, freshness, and properly dated product available for sale, communicates temperature failures to supervisor, and maintains sanitation standards in the cooler, sales, and prep areas.
- Additional Tasks: Assists in product receiving and storage, announces meat department sale items on the PA system, and performs other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Able to work well with others, lift 100 lbs occasionally, and 40 lbs constantly.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, must be at least 18 years old, and able to work in a cold environment.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Previous meat cutting experience and meat cutting skill test qualifications.
