Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by being polite, friendly, and courteous to all guests.
- Prepare products for sale according to quality standards, including cutting, weighing, and trimming.
- Price, stock, and rotate frozen and prepared meats, as well as fresh meat cases.
- Handle special guest requests, such as cutting custom pieces or slicing meat.
- Maintain high sanitation standards in the cooler, sales, and prep areas.
- E nsure high-quality, fresh products are available for sale and properly dated.
- Communicate temperature failures to supervisors promptly.
- Announce meat department sale items on the public address system.
- Assist with product receiving and storage.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Possess a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Show the ability to work effectively with others.
- Be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds constantly.
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
- Exhibit effective communication and customer service skills.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be able to work in a cold environment.
- Show the ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Prior meat cutting experience is an asset.
- Meet the requirements for a meat cutting skill test.
