We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Pizza Maker to join our team in a fast-paced environment. As a Lead Pizza Maker, you will play a vital role in preparing of of Michiana's top pizzas, ensuring high-quality standards, and providing excellent customer service.
Duties
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food items are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality.
- Sanitize work areas and equipment to adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, and assist with upselling menu items.
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with training new staff on techniques and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a culinary role, preferably in a pizza shop setting.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Ability to operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes precisely.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
