Key Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with senior Navy officials, defense contractors, and research institutions to drive collaboration and secure necessary resources.
• Leadership and Coordination: Oversee multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, naval architects, and operations specialists, ensuring the seamless integration of robotic autonomous systems across multiple mission areas.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans in alignment with the Navy's long-term goals, focusing on sustainability, innovation, and operational effectiveness.
• Project Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of hybrid fleet projects—from concept design and prototyping to testing, evaluation, and full-scale deployment.
• Innovation and Development: Foster a culture of innovation, guiding research and development efforts to enhance fleet performance, reduce redundancy, and accelerate technological adoption.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines while contributing to Navy and DoD policy shaping.

Qualifications:

• Required Education & Experience:

o Master's degree in National Security and Strategy or related field.
o Minimum of 20 years of experience in naval operations or defense-related project management.
o Bachelor's degree in relevant fields.
o Proven ability to provide strategic advice and technical guidance related to robotic autonomous systems (RAS).

• Skills and Knowledge:

o Extensive experience leading large, complex projects involving multidisciplinary teams.
o Strong knowledge of robotic autonomous systems and their integration into naval operations.
o Familiarity with DoD policy regarding air, surface, and subsurface robotic systems.
o Knowledge of networking compliance and ATO processes.
o Exceptional strategic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Clearance:

o Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

• Technical Proficiency:

o Expertise in using Microsoft 365 applications for collaboration and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
o 10 years of experience in COCOM/Navy fleet operations.
o Experience communicating effectively with senior officers and delivering operational briefs.
o Familiarity with hybrid fleet-related exercises and operational events.
Travel

• Features an opportunity to travel up to 25% of the time to both domestic and international locations such as Italy, Germany, Bahrain, Florida, California, etc. Travel will be communicated well in advance and will not normally exceed one work week at a time.
