Position Overview: Ignite Achievement Academy is seeking passionate and dedicated Summer Camp Teachers to support our summer camps for students with disabilities. This role is ideal for educators who are enthusiastic about creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment. The Summer Camp Teacher will be responsible for leading classroom activities, providing individualized instruction, and fostering a positive camp experience.
**We are hiring summer camp teachers and assistants for both our North Charlotte Campus and South Charlotte Campus as both campuses will offer summer camp this summer. Learn more about our camps HERE.**
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning activities tailored to students with diverse learning needs.
- Provide direct instruction, academic support, and behavioral guidance in a structured classroom setting.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate varying abilities and learning styles.
- Collaborate with camp staff, instructional aides, and therapists to support student success.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and fun camp environment that encourages student participation.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and camp activities.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and complete required documentation.
- Supervise students during activities, transitions, and meal/snack times.

Requirements:Minimum Requirements:
- Associate’s degree
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a school, camp, or similar setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, special education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification in general or special education.
- Strong classroom management and differentiation skills.
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and specialized instructional strategies.
