Ignite Flight Academy is seeking a certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to join our dedicated team in Lincoln, NE. We are committed to excellence in aviation training and maintenance, fostering a culture where innovation, continuous improvement, and a passion for aviation thrive.

Recently built a new facility which includes a 90x100 heated hangar
Currently have 14 aircraft in our Cessna / Piper fleet

Job duties may include (but are not limited to) the following :
Performing aircraft maintenance and inspections to ensure aircraft are safe and airworthy
Maintaining aircraft records per FAA regulations
Performing cosmetic repairs and improvements to the aircraft
Assisting in parts ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships
Special Projects and issues related to aircraft maintenance
Addressing aircraft squawks in a timely manner
Flying to an off base location to assist a student or flight instructor should maintenance need arise
Keeping maintenance facility and equipment in clean, safe, and working order
Assisting with identifying, researching, and purchasing maintenance support equipment as needed
Assisting with and attending company events
Qualifications :
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
Prefer 2 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, specifically with piston aircraft.
Strong understanding of FAA regulations and requirements.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs effectively.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety and quality.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to jump in and help with whatever is needed
Physical Requirements
This position must be able to stand, lie, and kneel in awkward positions and spaces, perform work on scaffolding or ladders, lift and pull objects weighing up to 70 pounds at a time, operate hand and power tools, possess visual acuity to inspect equipment and identify defects, and hear well enough to test sounds and identify functioning level of aircraft.
