Ignite is currently seeking a driven, detail-oriented OneSAF Combat Analyst III to join our team supporting WSMR, NM’s AFC TRAC, in WSMR, NM. This position is expected to be onsite.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provides military branch and functional specialties in the areas of doctrine, training, logistics, organization, materiel, soldier systems, tactics, techniques and procedures to a modeling, simulation and analysis team.
- Serves as a OneSAF simulation functional area model operator and analyst.
- Defines requirements for new functionality to be incorporated into OneSAF;
- reviews design documentation and makes recommendations as to how best to model the new or revised functionality,
- Incorporate new functionality, scenarios and behaviors into the OneSAF model;
- conducts functional validation and testing of new or revised functionality,
- identifies problems and recommends solutions, and
- reviews and tests functional related database parameters; and
- develops functional validation and verification tests.
- Conducts research on weapon system capabilities for incorporation into the simulation database;
- designs, develops, writes, and maintains OneSAF simulation lesson plans to support the OneSAF simulation support teams;
- incorporates explanations and clarifications of model functions and data parameters in the lesson plans, instructor notes, and fielding notes;
- conducts on-site OneSAF simulation controller training;
- provides exercise support;
- provides workstation user personnel support in selecting the most appropriate simulation methodology to replicate tactical maneuvers; and

Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Critical thinking to enable problem definition and solving, identification of “tipping point issues”, and wargaming operational concepts
- Possess research skills to support scenario and/or wargame development
- Possess advanced levels of proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Working knowledge of U. S. Army operational doctrine, formations, graphics, and terminology
- Working knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
- Written and verbal communication skills consistent with conveying status updates, in-progress work reviews, and final scenario/wargame documentation to clients
- Expert knowledge and operations of the OneSAF model, most current SW version.
Required Experience:
- Seven years of work experience directly related to the duties listed in the above job description and main responsibilities, to include a minimum of 3 years’ experience setting up, operating oneSAF simulations and at least two of those years leading small teams using OneSAF.
Education Requirements:
- Possess a High School Degree
- Completed the Battle Staff Noncommissioned Officers Course or its equivalent, the Captains Career Course (formerly Officer Advanced Course) or its equivalent, or other equivalent educational experience in non-military schools
Desired Education/Certification/Training:
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree
- Complete Intermediate Level Education (ILE) formerly the Command and General Staff Officers Course (CGSOC)) or its equivalent
Other Requirements:
Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and hold an active Security Clearance
