Role: New Business Development Contractor (Remote)
We are seeking a motivated, results-driven New Business Development Contractor to join our team. This is a 100% commission-based opportunity with unlimited earning potential, ideal for a self-starter with a passion for sales and a strong understanding of business needs.
As a contractor, you’ll focus on acquiring new clients, securing retained revenue, and driving multi-year agreements for igniteHR’s suite of services. You’ll play a critical role in scaling our business and making a meaningful impact on the organizations we serve.
What You Can Expect:
- You’ll manage the sales process, including prosecting, lead generation, client outreach, sales campaigns, and account management, while working alongside senior leadership.
- You have a voice, and we want you to use it – provide feedback, ask questions, share ideas and solve problems.

- Remote schedule, but will need the ability to travel if needed. Some onsite meetings are necessary. 1 week schedule will be on-site most likely.
- We don’t micromanage. We’ll provide clear expectations and allow you to have ownership of work.
How You’ll Contribute:
- Prospect and Qualify Leads: Identify potential clients through research, outreach, and networking.
- Client Acquisition: Present igniteHR’s services to SMBs, emphasizing tailored HR solutions for their unique needs.
- Develop Proposals: Collaborate with igniteHR leadership to create customized proposals that align with client goals.
- Close Sales: Secure new contracts, including retainers, project-based services, and multi-year agreements.
- Client Relationship Management: Ensure smooth handoffs to the igniteHR team for service delivery while maintaining strong client relationships for potential upsell opportunities.
- Meet Sales Targets: Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue goals to unlock bonuses.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about HR trends and SMB challenges to position igniteHR’s offerings effectively.

- Experience: Proven track record in sales, business development, or account management required; preferably in consulting, HR, or B2B services. Preferred: 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or related roles.
- Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently and in a remote setting.
- Client-Centric Mindset: Ability to build trust and long-term relationships with clients.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM tools, Microsoft 365, and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom). HubSpot CRM experience preferred.
- Education: A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus but not required.
Compensation
- Commission:
- 10% of first-year revenue for new retainer clients.
- 15% of project-based service revenue.
- Bonuses:
- Additional payouts for multi-year agreements and meeting performance targets.
- Earning Potential: Unlimited based on your performance and client acquisition.
