The Role
As the Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our finance and accounting department. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about driving accurate and reliable financial operations. You'll support the CEO, lead a staff accountant, and manage critical functions such as monthly financial reports, budgeting, cash management, and more.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the CEO on finance & accounting matters.
Supervise and mentor the staff accountant to ensure financial accuracy and professional growth.
Prepare and review monthly internal and external financial reports.
Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and refining financial policies.
Manage general ledger reconciliations, payroll activities, and banking transactions.
Oversee cash management activities and assist with physical inventory counts.
Support independent auditors with annual audits and procedures.
Assist with a variety of accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For
Prior experience in accounting, especially in a public accounting firm.
Bachelor's degree in business/accounting (or related field).
CPA license a plus, but not required.
Strong skills with MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
A proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Understanding of financial controls and ability to manage sensitive financial data.
Fluent in English (Fluency in Chinese or other languages is a plus).
