Human Resources Associate

Position Summary :

The Human Resources Associate supports the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) team by executing HR policies, managing HR transactions, and facilitating resource planning. This role builds trusted relationships with business leaders and contributes to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and special projects. Working within a dynamic HR team, the Associate ensures smooth departmental operations while supporting strategic goals.

Essential Functions :

  • Provides administrative support to HRBPs and client groups , collaborating on HR strategy, data analysis, and business goals.
  • Processes employee changes (e.g., job titles, pay rates, schedules, separations, and contract workers).
  • Acts as a first point of contact for policy-related employee inquiries.
  • Coordinates onboarding with Talent Acquisition, HRBPs, and hiring managers.
  • Assists with employee relations and corrective action, including exit interviews.
  • Supports recruitment by reviewing job descriptions, submitting requisitions, and facilitating approvals.
  • Manages HRIS transactions, reports, and personnel data in coordination with HR Centers of Excellence.
  • Oversees People Meeting requests , compensation analyses, and approval processes.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Maintains accurate employee records in an electronic format.
  • Creates and maintains trackers, documents, and reports to support HR initiatives.
  • Provides training to HR Service Center Specialists and presents attendance guidelines during onboarding.
  • Assists with the annual performance evaluation process , reviewing evaluations and guiding leaders.
  • Supports special HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements :

Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of HR experience ; PHR / SHRM-CP preferred.
  • Experience with remote workforce support, higher education, or technology-driven enterprises is a plus.
  • Skills & Competencies :

  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, laws, and regulations .
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment .
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS / ERP systems .
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • A proactive self-starter with accountability and a solution-oriented approach.
  • Work Environment :

  • Remote position with no travel required.
  • Sedentary work with occasional lifting (up to 10 lbs.).
  • Work performed in an office environment using computers and analytical tools.
  • Compensation :

  • Pay Rate : $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
  • Salary : $30 - $35
