Job Description

Job Title : Psychiatrist

Location : Riverside County

Job Type : Full-Time, Non-profit Organization

Job Overview :

Community health is about more than just vaccines and checkups. It's about giving people the resources they need to live their best lives. In this role, the Psychiatrist will support the mission and vision of the organization by providing psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, medication management, and treatment services. You will work alongside psychotherapists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive care for all patients. Additionally, this role includes providing clinical supervision to psychiatric providers and supporting their professional development.

Roles & Responsibilities :

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients
Provide evidence-based medication management and treatment for psychiatric conditions
Offer psycho-education and follow-up care to patients
Provide Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) when needed
Participate in the credentialing process with managed care companies
Engage in process and program quality improvement initiatives
Attend case conferences, departmental, and agency meetings as directed
Demonstrate values of Transforming Care by providing courteous, helpful, and accurate services to patients
Complete and lock documentation accurately and timely (within 48 hours)
Offer weekly clinical supervision to psychiatric providers such as PMHNP, PA-C, or other equivalent roles
Share accountability for overall patient health outcomes, collaborating with care teams
Build trust with patients, employees, and stakeholders by fostering confidence in care and services provided

Required Qualifications :

MD or DO degree

Completion of a four-year psychiatric residency

Completion of or eligibility for ABPN Board certification

Valid California medical license (MD or DO) required

Valid California DEA license required

Valid BLS certification from an approved American Health Association provider required upon hire

Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred

Additional Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) :

Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with legible handwriting

Proficiency with computers and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, word processing, and spreadsheets

Outstanding customer service skills

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, or diagram form

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong planning and time-management skills

Salary Range : $299,541.11 - $366,105.80 per year, depending on experience.
