What are the responsibilities and job description for the Embroidery Machine Operator position at Ignite Imaging?
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain multi-needle embroidery machines to produce high-quality embroidered designs on apparel and other products.
- Create and convert artwork into embroidery-ready files using digitizing software or digitizing services.
- Set up machines with the correct threads, needles, and backing materials according to project requirements.
- Monitor the embroidery process to ensure designs are executed properly, adjusting settings as necessary to meet quality standards.
- Review customer orders and designs to ensure accuracy before production.
- Collaborate with the design team to optimize and fine-tune designs for the best embroidery results.
- Assist with quality control, ensuring each finished product meets company and client specifications.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating commercial (SWF multi-head) embroidery machines.
- Experience with digitizing graphic design files for embroidery (experience with software such as Wilcom, CorelDRAW, or similar is preferred).
- Strong understanding of embroidery techniques, fabrics, threads, and machine settings.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with clients and team members.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the spot.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Prior experience in a custom apparel or production setting is a plus.
- Ability to handle physical workload; standing, walking, and lifting boxes.
