Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as cherry pickers, cranes, and pallet jacks to facilitate the movement of materials within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently to meet shipping deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with shipping and receiving operations, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock locations.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred, with a focus on materials handling and heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with order-picking processes and shipping/receiving procedures is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and practices is essential.
- Experience using a warehouse management system is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire
Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
