Job Summary
Ignite Industrial Professionals is hiring Forklift Operators for our clients in and around the Jeffersonville, IN area.
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts(Reach Truck or Order Picker) to facilitate the movement of materials and products within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, materials handling, and adherence to safety protocols.
Shifts
- 1st shift: M-F 7a-3:30p
- 1st shift: M-Th 5am-3:30p
- Weekend shift: Fri-Sun 6am-6pm
- 2nd shift: M-F 3:30p-12a
- 2nd shift: M-Th 3:30pm-2am
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including reach trucks and cherry pickers/order picker, to move materials and products safely throughout the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently to fulfill customer orders.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist in heavy lifting and transporting of goods as required by warehouse operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve efficiency within the team.
- Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.
Experience
- Proven experience in materials handling within a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers/order pickers.
- Previous experience in order picking or working under a warehouse supervisor is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed, demonstrating physical stamina and strength.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety protocols in all aspects of work.
