Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Licensed Massage Therapist who not only provides exceptional therapeutic massage services but also actively promotes and contributes to the growth of our medical spa. The ideal candidate will have a well-established clientele and a passion for delivering high-quality care while supporting our medical spa’s broader service offerings.
Qualifications:
1) Licensure & Certification:
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist (LMT) or equivalent certification.
- Additional certifications in specialized massage techniques (lymphatic drainage, reflexology, prenatal massage) preferred.
2) Experience:
- Proven track record of at least 2 years as a practicing massage therapist.
- Established and active client base with a demonstrated ability to maintain and grow clientele.
3) Skills & Competencies:
- Expert knowledge of various massage techniques, anatomy, and physiology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction and retention.
- Ability to effectively promote and explain medical spa services and products to clients.
- Documentation via computer software program (specific training is provided) and ability to maintain client records appropriately.
4) Promotion & Sales Abilities:
- Experience or aptitude in promoting additional spa services, packages, and products to clients.
- Social media posting and self promotion
- Comfort with upselling and cross-selling techniques in a professional manner.
- Initiative to participate in marketing efforts and client outreach activities.
5) Professionalism:
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality in client interactions.
- Regularly updating knowledge of industry trends and advancements.
6) Team Collaboration:
- Ability to work collaboratively with other spa professionals including estheticians, medical staff, and administrative personnel.
- Flexibility to adapt to the spa’s evolving needs and contribute to team goals.
7) Administrative Skills:
- Proficiency with scheduling software and basic administrative tasks.
- Ability to manage appointment bookings, client records, and payment transactions efficiently.
8) Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform massages and other physical tasks for extended periods while maintaining focus and precision.
- Good physical stamina and dexterity to manage the demands of the job.
