- Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related fields is desired, but not required
- 3 years of Engineering or Project Coordinating experience for a utilities, electrical, or construction company
Job Duties :
Works closely with Accounting Department to help close projectsIs able to comprehensively track up to 70 contracts per year in various stages and produce reports on volumes completedIs able to verify closing documents including acceptance of facilities and developer cost statement are completed correctlyWorks well with Accounting to deliver project information for closingWorks well with Accounting to troubleshoot historical projects that may have information to be chased downKeeps folders, physical and soft copy well organized and in accordance with established structureTakes initiative to remind groups including District staff of outstanding information needed to complete required next step including preparation of agreement or closing documents.Job Requirements :
Consistent in approach, attendance and professionalismEstablishes good communication with all Districts in order to receive necessary information for contract preparation, including all info needed for verification.Able to review land rights documents and verify ownership including grant deed, title report, parcel maps, tract maps, etc.Able to review insurance information and verify appropriate limits, expiration, and Cal Water listed as additional insuredAble to review contractor’s license documentation and verify all necessary information.Independent and proficient in utilizing public data such as county recorder’s websites and CA Secretary of State Business Search tools to perform these tasksAble to become proficient in utilizing company Accounting and Project management software, Power Plan to review project information including deposits and finances.Able to verify easement metes and bounds and confirm areas deeded match design drawing needsPrepares of Agreement, Quitclaim of Underground Water Rights, Grant of Easement and other documents as neededPrepares standard form documents for execution and recording with County recorders including Quitclaim of Underground Water Rights, Grant of Easements and Main Extension Agreements.Able to sort through project information and determine appropriate contract type based on Company Operating Rules, and communication with District and Engineering staff.Extremely detail oriented in preparing contracts, ensuring no errors, typos or misspellings.Consistent in work product, ensure a reliable and repeatable product is producedWorks well with manager and others to communicate when issues arise and propose solutions.Comfortable routing documents for execution via e-sign
