What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Worker position at Ignitec Inc?
This is a Full-Time (On-Site) position in Rio Communities, NM supporting a Water Utility Company. Full employee benefits are inclusive to this position.
Requirements: US Citizenship Work Status Authorization; MUST have a clean driving record- MVA/DMV Driving Record must be submitted along with a copy of the current Resume for further consideration of the position; Minimum of completed Highschool Diploma/GED education.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to Water Systems/ Water Utility service repair maintenance calls pertaining to for the Company
- Maintenance repairs could include a variety of work that include: main leaks, water damage, water meters, meter boxes, service lines, wells, pump stations, valve covers, painting, fences, etc.
- Experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Preparing and operate service truck daily- loading materials and equipment, removal and disposal of debris, and clean the truck as needed.
- Heavy Lifting in excess of 50 Pounds.
- Follow Company and OSHA Safely Regulations.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the Utility Worker works in the field with exposure to local climate and weather conditions. This may include dust, wind, rain, snow, heat, or cold. The terrain is varied and the employee may need to ambulate on uneven dirt, gravel, asphalt, or in muddy conditions. The employee works around chlorine tanks and may be exposed to hazardous materials such as but not limited to sodium hypochlorite, gas, and diesel fumes.
Employees in this position may be required to wear personal protective equipment depending on work task.
Employees working in environments where noise exceeds the Permissible Exposure Limits (PEL) of 85 db in an eight hour work day shall be required to wear hearing protection.
Appropriate footwear based on the nature of the job and the work environment must be worn at all times. Field jobs require approved safety shoes, as outlined in the Company's Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Procedure.
