Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our team. Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients.
- Provide crisis intervention services to individuals experiencing acute mental health issues.
- Utilize dance therapy and other creative therapeutic techniques to promote emotional expression and healing.
- Offer chronic pain counseling to help clients manage their conditions effectively.
- Engage in research activities to stay informed about best practices in mental health treatment.
- Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
- Collect and analyze data related to client progress and program effectiveness.
- Address gender issues counseling as part of an inclusive approach to mental health care.
- Work closely with individuals on the autism spectrum, tailoring interventions to meet their unique needs.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences:
- Proven experience in crisis intervention and clinical counseling.
- Familiarity with dance therapy as a therapeutic modality is preferred but not required.
- Background in chronic pain counseling or related fields is advantageous.
- Experience in social work or similar roles that involve direct client interaction is beneficial.
- Strong research skills, particularly in data collection and analysis related to mental health outcomes.
- Ability to address gender issues sensitively within the context of mental health care.
- Knowledge of inhalation therapies or techniques may be considered an asset.
