Your Opportunity
IGO is a values-based mining and exploration company with a purpose of Making a Difference. We are currently searching for an experienced Mine Control Operator to join our team at our underground Nova operation. Reporting to the Superintendent Production, you will be working closely with our mining contractor to ensure clear communication between their Underground Mining team and our Technical Services Department.
Key accountabilities include :
- Accurate recording and documenting activities within the mine including all personnel and equipment activities, status and material movements;
- Assisting supervisors in dispatching personnel and equipment in the most efficient way;
- Monitoring fixed plant facilities within the mine and assisting to manage any faults;
- Act as first point of contact in the event of an emergency and escalate as required;
- Maintaining accurate records of safety signage;
- Monitor safety equipment and sensors and escalate as required; and
- Liaise with underground operations and technical services personnel to develop the best plans for the mine.
