Accounting Intern

Responsibilities

• Reviewing vendor invoices and ensuring timely payments
• Assisting with reconciliations of accounts payable transactions
• Learning to review and verify invoice accuracy, coding and approvals
• Gaining exposure to financial reporting and month-end closing activities
• Managing and organizing email correspondence to ensure timely response
• Enhancing communication and collaboration skills by working with internal departments and external vendors
• Understanding compliance, financial controls and best practices in accounts payable
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial transactions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams
• Email management skills to organize and track AP-related correspondences efficiency
• Ability to work independently while being a team player in a fast-paced environment
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance, sophomore preferred.
