GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Team Leader is responsible for coordinating department work activities, training/coaching department employees, monitor the order status of each job through the production process and assisting where needed, and meeting daily weekly delivery goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work with supervisor to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedules are met.
· Develop a full understanding of part numbers and Current Space Ex Rev. being produced.
· Plan, direct and coordinate the assemblies/orders for employees within the Space Ex /harnessing department, to ensure the orders are shipping on time in a productive manner.
· Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
· Ensure employees are working to the standards that have been established.
· Provide employees with assistance in performing difficult or complicated orders.
· Any additional duties, as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls
· Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds (lifting devices and help from co-workers is available)
REQUIREMENTS:
· Previous work experience with knowledge of wire preparation that includes wire placement and securing wire cables to harness.
· Ability to understand and decipher drawings.
· Knowledge and experience in placing cables and dressing out wire-harnesses
· Certification or Training to IPC/WHMS Standard 620 is desirable.
· Knowledge of wiring drawings and how to read desirable.
· Familiarity with using automated testing equipment, and other hand tools
· Ability to read and work from manufacturing drawings and schematics
· Ability to adhere to all applicable company quality standards for assembly.
· Two or more years leading employees preferred.
· Knowledge and understanding of lean techniques required.
· Previous computer experience.
· Reliable attendance record.
· Availability and willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed.
