Summary of Position:

This position will be responsible for the daily teller line operations, including monitoring, coaching, and providing support to the team members. It's imperative that the supervisor set a good example for the team members to follow, so professionalism is expected always. Successfully build and maintain long-term relationships with members and maximize use of Credit Union products and services utilizing consultative sales and superior service in a proactive manner. This position serves as a support to branch leadership and functions as the sole branch leader in the absence of Branch Manager and/or Assistant Branch Manager.

This position will be based at our Des Moines, Iowa location, however regional travel to assist other branch locations may occasionally be required.

The successful candidate should have the following skills/qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Prior leadership within a financial institution, customer service or retail environment preferred.
• Strong history of proven relationship building performance.
• Exceptional member service, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Professional interpersonal communications and ability to motivate and coach the team.
• Known to be reliable, dependable and responsible in all situations.
• CUNA FiCEP/CCUFC designation to be achieved within the first year of position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Successfully handling a variety of member and team member situations with professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
• Making sure the branch operations are running smoothly such as: vault/cash drawer balancing, coin counter, cash advance machines, check scanner, debit card machine, ATMs/ITMs, etc.
• Train, supervise, motivate, and coach the daily activities of the staff. Promote teamwork and a positive branch environment. Support change within the credit union in a positive manner.
• Building professional and personable relationships with your members and team members by being attentive, actively listening and providing educated well thought out recommendations.
• Responds to member inquiries regarding the operation of accounts, access to services, resolving account discrepancies, balancing, and reconciling, adding or reducing service features on various accounts, and assisting members to make the most effective usage of service offerings.

• Actively participate in meetings, trainings, and projects to maintain awareness and comprehensive knowledge of organizational processes and promotional campaigns. Take initiative for personal career development and seek opportunities to learn new skills.
• Stay current on all policies, procedures, and compliance, relaying information to the team to ensure successful operations.

• Visual acuity to do things such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
