Join our team as a detail-oriented Commercial Lender at IHMVCU! We are member-focused and dedicated to providing exceptional service while fostering financial well-being for our community.
This role is located at our beautiful headquarters on River Drive in Moline, IL. This facility includes a comfortable office environment with an on-site gym facility.
Summary of Position:
The focus of this position is to develop business relationships while keeping within authorized authority as well as internal and regulatory guidelines. This includes originating loans, acquiring deposits and cross selling consumer products to broaden the member relationship. Making regular sales calls to initiate or maintain relationships is expected. This position will not have any direct reports. Daily routine will vary and will center around member's needs and departmental goals. This will include some regional travel as needed. This role has a base salary plus a quarterly and annual incentive plan.
The successful candidate should have following skills/qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance (combination of education and prior experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Commercial Lending, with preference for existing experience within service area and credit training
- Ability to generate $8 - $12 million in new loan growth
- Professional demeanor in all interactions
- Ability to make the initial decision as to the viability of the borrower's request. To receive loan approval, it is the responsibility of the lender to provide the necessary information to the deaccessioning body. If the loan amount is outside the scope of the lender's approval authority, the lender is still required to provide a qualitative assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain a commercial loan portfolio that adheres to loan policy, maintains a satisfactory risk rating and produces a risk adjusted return for the credit union.
- Service and facilitate business member deposit needs with an awareness of the credit unions liquidity needs.
- Analyzes applicant's financial status, credit, cash flow and collateral to determine feasibility of granting a loan and prepares loan Presentation Summaries in cooperation with the credit department to present to the Executive Loan Committee for approval.
- Complete annual reviews in a timely manner in accordance with the requirements set forth in loan policy, operating procedures and regulations.
- Ensure the loans with covenants or those requiring borrowing bases are in compliance with the loan agreement at all times.
- Ensures loan documents are complete and accurate per the policy and requirements set out in regulation.
- Cross-sells borrowers on the benefits of utilizing other credit union services to deepen overall relationships with business members and their employees.
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and procedures for business lending and depository accounts.
- Responsible for making sales calls to develop and maintain business relationships to include loans and deposits.

Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
