Floor Technician
Town House Cleaning is looking for a hardworking and energetic Floor Technician to join our team. You should be able to undertake floor cleaning, and maintenance activities and ensure adherence to the health and safety guidelines at all times.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Operate flooring equipment including extractors and buffing machines.
- Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to the procedure.
- Vast knowledge in carpet cleaning, shampooing, extraction, spot cleaning, etc.
- Vast knowledge in different types of flooring, such as stripping, waxing, buffing, grout cleaning, burnishing of floors, and marble work.
- Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
- Orientate and train new employees in the safe and proper operation of equipment and floor care processes as necessary.
- Travel to different locations as requested.
- Report and take pictures by the end of the shift.
Must be able to:
- Learn simple procedures and techniques
- Be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Flexible schedule
- Understand simple instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand during the entire shift.
- Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Must effectively communicate verbally and written with all staff members in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Attend all company-required meetings and training.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
Skills:
- Experience in floor care, stripping, waxing and carpet cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping floors.
- Self-motivated, hardworking, dependable, and responsible.
- Valid Driver license
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
