What We Need :

Excellent writer, interest in local and state news and events. Clear voice and speaking style for possible future reporter or anchor opportunities.

What You'll Do :

• Write news stories for multiple markets as assigned
• Maintain crucial deadlines in order to provide news stories in a timely fashion.
• Write clear and concise news copy
• Produce, edit and write content for 24 / 7 Newswire.
• Gather audio from press conferences, live events and partner TV stations
• Monitors sources for breaking news, e.g., wires and social media.
• Finalize content using digital audio editing software
• Must have general knowledge of all current events including but not limited to political, entertainment, sports, finance or military.
• Repackages content from producers and field reporters for newscasts.
• May be called on to anchor or report as needed, and roduce short-form reports (voicers / wraps) for anchors on the following shift.
• Other duties as assigned
