What You'll Do :
Gather and verify information through interviews, observation and research ensuring that the news reported remains objective and balancedMonitor sources for breaking news, e.g., wires and social mediaPlan, write, edit, and voice news broadcastsFinalize content using digital audio editing softwareMaintain crucial deadlines in order to provide news stories in a timely fashionRepackage content from producers and field reporters for newscastsIdentify technical equipment and resource requirements for recording interviews and other audio materialProduce features and interviews as assignedPrepare written content, visual images, audio material and video footage for websites, blogs or other social-media platformsWhat You'll Need :
Expertise using RCS News and social networking platformsTo be knowledgeable and up-to-date on local and national trends and / or to have specialized knowledge of subjects / events related to on-air topicsPleasant, charismatic, and well-controlled voice; excellent pronunciation and deliveryWell-rounded communication skills for conducting interviewsExcellent writing and editing skills; proficient in grammarProficiency in media production and broadcast systemsAbility to plan and organize in a fast-paced environmentBilingual in English and Spanish is a plusScheduling flexibility including nights, weekends, and some holidays.3 years' experience in on-air journalism in smaller market or college station4-year college degree, preferably in Broadcast Journalism or CommunicationsWhat You'll Bring :
