SUMMARY:
In an effort to further HDG Hotels Legacy Division's Vision, Mission and Values, this position is primarily responsible for creating a lasting impression on guests with whom they interact in the dining and other areas of an HDG Legacy Hotel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepare and serve food in a timely manner according to brand and health standards.
- Greet all guests in a welcoming manner in common areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of breakfast area and kitchen.
- Order and receive food into inventory.
- Follow hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
- Willing to help in other areas of the hotel if needed.
- Comply with health and hygiene regulations.
- Adhere to brand standards for breakfast services.
- Communicate effectively with other hotel staff and management.
- Assist in training new breakfast attendants.
- Work collaboratively to ensure a smooth and efficient breakfast service.
- Set up the breakfast area before the start of service.
- Breakdown and clean the breakfast area after service, including washing dishes and cleaning appliances.
- Store and organize leftover food items properly.
- Monitor food and beverage inventory levels.
- Inform the appropriate person of low inventory or items needing restocking.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items to maintain freshness.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Clean and sanitize tables, counters, and equipment.
- Monitor and clean up spills and other hazards promptly to ensure guest safety.
- Prepare and set up the breakfast area with all necessary items, including hot and cold food, beverages, and condiments.
- Ensure food items are properly cooked, presented, and replenished throughout breakfast hours.
- Greet guests warmly and courteously.
- Answer questions and provide information about breakfast offerings, nutritional information and hotel services.
- Respond promptly to guests requests and concerns, ensuring guest satisfaction.
ATTENDANCE:
Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks; where applicable.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Less than high school education.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
