We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Mortgage Specialist to join our team and assist in mitigating risk, maintaining compliance and supporting our mission to deliver high-quality mortgage services to our members.

This role is located at our beautiful headquarters located on River Drive in Moline, IL. This facility includes a comfortable office environment with an on-site gym facility.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Previous experience in Mortgage lending and underwriting are a must.
• Previous experience in quality control/assurance practices is a plus.
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite and advanced focus on Excel formatting, functions, formulas, charts and graphs.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely, tailored to audience levels from executive to peer groups.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

What are some of the responsibilities of a Quality Control Mortgage Specialist?

• Assist in the development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures for continued enhancement of the Credit Union's Quality Control (QC) Program.
• Ensuring Mortgage loans are originated in accordance with IH's established policies and procedures, identify and communicate deficiencies.
• Verifying all Mortgage loans comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Assist with implementing plans to quickly remediate deficiencies and underlying issues.
• Review Mortgage loans to comply with Fannie Mae Selling Guide, all related contractual terms and agreements, and are in all respects eligible for delivery to Fannie Mae, FHLB, New Rez, Computer Share, or any other investor the credit union sets a relationship with.
• Perform prefunding and post-closing QC file reviews for secondary market and in-house portfolio loans.
