Position Overview
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated Billing & Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role supports customer billing, payroll timecard entry, accounts payable and receivable, and general accounting functions. Ideal candidates thrive in a collaborative environment and align with Lapp’s mission and values.
Responsibilities
Billing & Accounts Receivable
- Prepare and send customer invoices
- Communicate with customers about billing, payments, and overdue balances
- Coordinate with project managers for timely invoicing
- Apply payments and follow up on outstanding accounts
Payroll
- Enter timecard data from QuickBooks into Aptora
Accounts Payable
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts
- Process vendor payments and maintain positive vendor relationships
- Reconcile accounts and respond to inquiries
Administrative Support
- File customer documents accurately
- Answer phone calls from customers and vendors
- Assist with various tasks and cross-train in other administrative roles
Qualifications
- Approximately 10 years of accounting or billing experience preferred
- Candidates with general accounting knowledge and less experience will be considered if they are a strong fit
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Proficient in accounting software and data entry
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Commitment to integrity, accuracy, and high-quality service
