Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer feedback and implement improvements as necessary
- Lead and motivate a team of restaurant staff, including servers, cooks and support staff
- Assist in managing the restaurant's budget, control costs and maximize profitability
- Monitor sales and expenses, implement pricing strategies and participate in financial planning
- Create a positive work environment, set performance expectations and provide ongoing training and feedback to ensure exceptional service and efficiency
- Train new and existing staff on IHOP's policies, procedures and service standards; identify skill gaps and facilitate ongoing training programs to enhance team performance
- Foster a culture of guest-centric service, ensuring all guests have a memorable dining experience by addressing their needs, resolving issues and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
- Monitor and optimize workflows to maximize efficiency through overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management and adherence to IHOP's quality and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to addressing operational challenges
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with guests, staff and management
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays as per business needs
- A genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations
- One year of previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the restaurant or hospitality industry is preferred
