Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Following detailed instructions and executing tasks assigned by mentor or team member
- Gaining hands-on experience in optics manufacturing through guided participation across multiple departments
- Assisting with the design, development, and execution of optical tests for optical assemblies
- Participating in engineering meetings and discussions to enhance collaboration and technical knowledge
- Must be currently enrolled in a 3rd or 4th-year undergraduate program in engineering or science.
- Preferred majors: Industrial Engineering, Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.

- Basic understanding of optical test and integration processes.
- Ability to interpret and create mechanical drawings.
- Experience with optical design software such as ZEMAX.
- Familiarity with core concepts in mechanical, optical, aerospace, and software engineering.
- Exposure to computer programming and CAD software.
