Job Description
We are seeking a Project Engineer in our Development Engineering team at our Philadelphia, PA facility where we develop and produce precision patterned products. This position will perform engineering activities for design, development, and implementation of new products and manufacturing processes. This role will support and interact with other project engineers, program management, and operations personnel on assigned projects related to process and materials development.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for product design and development activities on assigned projects; ensures product design meets customer specifications; develops design documentation, test procedures, Bills of Materials, and manufacturing work instructions as directed by engineering management.
- Resolves technical issues as they arise during fabrication with assistance from manufacturing engineering, quality engineering and operations personnel; identifies root causes of manufacturing problems using analytical techniques; provides clear and concise corrective action reports.
- Thoroughly documents new product designs and manufacturing processes. Before being used on production parts, assures all process changes are well thought out, documented and communicated to all levels.
- Assists training of all operators, technicians, and engineers on new manufacturing processes and process changes.
