What are the responsibilities and job description for the RF Engineer position at II-VI Incorporated?
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
In this position, the successful candidate will participate in the design and development of pulsed and CW VHF band RF power sources operating at average powers from 300 W to 15 kW. In addition, this individual will participate in the design and development of diagnostics, controls, and other critical analog and digital circuitry which is embedded in the RF power supply. This individual will also be required to support existing products by performing failure analysis, troubleshooting existing designs, evaluating design improvements, and providing production support. In performing these duties, the successful candidate will be required to spend a substantial portion of their time doing hands-on work in the laboratory.
- Design and develop RF circuitry for high power RF generators including schematic capture and printed circuit design.
- Provide sustaining engineering for existing and legacy products with failure analysis, troubleshooting existing designs, evaluating design improvements, and providing production support
- Documentation and communication of results and ideas both, written and by presentation
