Job Description
The Victim Services Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the coordination and strengthening of the Tribal Criminal Justice System response to end violence in Native American community. They will perform a wide variety of duties and will work together with other community resources to provide support and advocacy for the rights and protection of victims of interpersonal violence. They will participate in the development and implementation of education and prevention outreach plans to inform members of the tribal community about participation in the development and implementation of education and prevention. Increase community awareness of the needs of children witnessing domestic violence. Implement direct services, such as crisis intervention, safety planning, direct and indirect referrals, case management and other services required by grant funding or the needs of the victim. Facilitate support groups, education programs, mentorship and school programs as needed and assigned. Is also responsible for assisting with the daily operations of domestic violence advocacy services and ensuring that all data and documentation is appropriately maintained to ensure victim confidentiality.
Requirements:
·High School Diploma or equivalent required;
·Valid driver’s license required.
·Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
·Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and push or pull 50 pounds on occasion.
·Ability to work independently with limited supervision required.
·Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
