What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher position at IIQAF?
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for working with students who have a wide range of learning, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for each student, as well as providing support and accommodations in the general education classroom. Additionally, you will collaborate with other educators, parents, and specialists to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide instruction tailored to each student's unique learning and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers to provide accommodations and modifications for students with special needs in the general education classroom
- Assess students' progress and make necessary adjustments to their individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, methods, and materials to engage and support students with special needs
- Establish and maintain open communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress and any concerns
- Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and support staff to provide a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Prior experience working with students with special needs
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs.
Salary : $6,500 - $8,000
