We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welding Foreman to join our team. As a Welding Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the production and quality of welding projects. You will lead a team of welders and ensure that all welding work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications. This is a hands-on role, requiring strong technical skills as well as leadership abilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise a team of welders, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure that welding projects are completed on time and within budget
- Inspect and assess welding work for quality and conformance to specifications
- Develop and maintain welding schedules, assigning tasks to team members
- Train and mentor new welders, ensuring that they understand and follow safety procedures
- Troubleshoot welding equipment and recommend repairs or replacements when necessary
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to determine welding requirements and specifications
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in welding, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- In-depth knowledge of welding codes and standards
- Strong understanding of welding equipment and tools
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
- Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality and safety
- Valid welding certifications (e.g., AWS) are preferred, but not required
Salary : $5,500 - $7,000
