Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Certified Dietary Manager to oversee the dietary department in assisted living facilities. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily foodservice operations, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and local regulations related to foodservice in healthcare settings.
- Supervise, train, and develop dietary staff to provide exceptional meal service.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to support residents' dietary needs and preferences.
- Manage food inventory, ordering, and budget controls.
- Implement and maintain policies for dietary consistency and predictability.
- Ensure proper sanitation and food safety procedures are followed at all times.
Experience
- · Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required.
- Previous experience in healthcare foodservice (long-term care, hospitals, or senior living preferred).
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Leadership experience with the ability to train and motivate staff.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
