- Pay: $20.00 per hour
- Shift: 5:00 PM - 3:00 AM
- Schedule: Thursday - Sunday
- Overtime as needed
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts, reach lift, and walkie rider, to ensure efficient materials handling and order fulfillment. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily operations.
Duties
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials within the distribution center.
- Perform order picking and packing tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Assist with inventory management by accurately tracking materials and supplies.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a distribution center is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and engage in physical activities throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with materials handling processes and safety regulations is essential.
