Outbound Operations Oversight:
Job Summary:
The Weekend Nights Outbound Supervisor is responsible for overseeing outbound operations, including replenishment, picking, and packing. This role ensures the efficient flow of outbound orders, adherence to operational procedures, and accurate reporting at the start and end of each shift. The supervisor will also conduct audits to verify work completion across all areas of coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all outbound activities, including replenishment, order picking, and packing.
- Assign tasks and monitor performance of team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensure proper handling of inventory to minimize errors and maximize productivity.
Shift Reporting & Communication:
- Conduct and submit a Start of Shift Report outlining staffing, workload expectations, and any key operational concerns.
- Complete an End of Shift Report summarizing progress, challenges, and corrective actions taken during the shift.
- Maintain clear communication with leadership and other departments to ensure seamless handoffs.
Work Audits & Compliance:
- Perform routine audits of replenishment, picking, and packing activities to verify accuracy and adherence to SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and warehouse policies.
- Identify and address any discrepancies or inefficiencies in processes.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and motivate team members to achieve performance goals.
- Provide real-time feedback, coaching, and corrective actions as necessary.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and make data-driven decisions.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ability to generate reports.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate warehouse equipment, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications (Preferred): OSHA forklift certification, Six Sigma, or Lean methodologies.
Performance Metrics:
- Productivity and efficiency of outbound operations.
