Import/Export Agent

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Import/Export Customer Service Representative to join our team. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals looking to start a career in the logistics and shipping industry. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the point of contact for our customers, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of inquiries related to import and export processes.

Responsibilities:

• Answer customer inquiries related to import/export shipments, tracking, and documentation.
• Assist customers with the preparation and submission of required paperwork and documentation (e.g., bills of lading, customs forms).
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Monitor the progress of shipments and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Provide customers with up-to-date shipment status and information on delivery schedules.
• Handle inquiries and concerns via phone, email, and other communication platforms.
• Assist in processing orders, ensuring all details are accurately recorded and entered into the system.
• Maintain and update customer records in the system.
• Work closely with the logistics, shipping, and customs departments to ensure compliance with regulations and timely shipments.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.

Minimum Essential Functions:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. 
• Frequently moves cargo in the warehouse weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the warehouse and office to access cargo shipments and airwaybills.

Work Environment:

• Occasionally work in extremely bright or dim lighting conditions.
• Workspaces may not be temperature-controlled.
• Work near/ share same workspace with others.
• Often work indoors but may sometimes work outdoors. 

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in similar role required
• Valid Driver’s license required • Must be at least 18 years of age 
• Ability to read, write and understand the English language 
• Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without, assistance of sight or visual aids
  
  

Shift hours:

Operation-Monday to Friday

1st shift 7am to 4pm

Pay Rate: 

1st shift pays $16.00 an hour
