Senior Receiving Technician Job Summary The Senior Receiving Tech coordinates the day-to-day activities of the Receiving Department and is responsible for the accurate and timely receiving of all items delivered from vendors and carriers. This position maintains the security of the area to prevent loss and damage to both incoming and outgoing materials/supplies. This position also oversees the Receiving techs in the absence of the Manager. Job Responsibilities • Maintains security of receiving department/loading dock • Maintains necessary files and records to account for all materials shipped, received, and delivered • Assists Purchasing and Accounts Payable staff in reconciling discrepancies between invoices and P.O. • Inspects freight for damages, defects, or discrepancies • Oversees receiving department/loading dock in absence of manager • Verifies accuracy of incoming shipment against purchase order (P.O.) in MMIS system • Receives incoming materials, supplies, and equipment Job Requirements • High school diploma or GED is required • Experience with Print Shop- Clean driving record • One to three years of experience working in shipping/receiving, warehouse distribution, or inventory control environment is preferred • Experience processing of healthcare products deliveries is preferred Essential Job Functions • Frequently moves material in the warehouse weighing up to 50 pounds • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time • Frequently positioning oneself to perform work tasks To the extent permitted by law, passing consumer (drug screening and/or background check) report inquiries may be necessary for employment purposes.
